Passing NEMO

The large, oddly shaped building in the background is the wonderful NEMO Science Center of Amsterdam. The current building was designed by Renzo Piano in 1997. The hands-on museum is the fifth most visited museum in the Netherlands.

The De Adriaan Windmill in Haarlem is a 2002 reconstruction of an original which was built in 1779, but unfortunately burnt down in 1932. The cause of the fire was never determined.
