Abandoned

The Valley of the Mills sits below Piazzo Tasso in Sorrento, Italy. The former flour and saw mills were abandoned shortly after the 1866 construction of the plaza isolated it from the nearby sea and increased the humidity to the point that it was uninhabitable. The ruins are unmarked and have a sense of mystery about them.

Il Faro, Sorrento

As you descend from the town of Sorrento to the harbor below, one of the most prominent landmarks is the Il Faro Hotel and the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittorio perched above it.

This young woman was standing in the doorway of a wonderful shop featuring all kinds of pasta, limoncello, olive oil and other gourmet items that help to make this part of Italy such a treat. I've added textures from jinterwas, Shadowhouse Creations and freaky 665.
