Bell Tower, LaCoste, France

A bell tower in the medieval town of LaCoste looks out over the wooded hills of the Luberon. Trivia: in 2003 the town served as the location for the film "Swimming Pool" starring Charlotte Rampling.

Path to the Castle

We followed this path in Lacoste, believing it to be the way to the former home of the Marquis de Sade. However, we must have taken a wrong turn because we never reached the castle.

Green Door

LaCoste is a small, picturesque hilltown in the Luberon.While searching for the ruins of the chateau that once belonged to the Marquis de Sade, we passed this doorway catching the last rays of the day's light.
