The baroque Palazzo Maffei on the northwest side of the Piazza delle Erbe in Verona, Italy. The palazzo dates from the 15th century. St. Mark' winged lion, a symbol of the Venetian Republic and indication that Verona was once under Venetian rule, sits atop a marble column in front of the palazzo.

Lamberti's Tower, Verona
This clock tower in the Piazza delle Erbe, the center of medieval Verona, was completed in 1463 and is the tallest of Verona's towers. The large clock was added in 1779.

Castelvecchio Bridge, Verona
The old castle bridge over the Adige River in Verona, Italy was built around 1355 and featured the world's largest segmented arch span at the time of its construction. It is built of red bricks over white marble.

Madonna Verona
The Madonna Verona is a Roman era statue that sits atop a fountain in the Piazza delle Erbe in Verona, Italy.While Verona itself is a UNESCO World Heritage city, this particular square is a feast for the eyes with its varied architectural styles, including these ancient maintained frescos in the background. I've used adjustment layers to enhance the saturation for a festive look.
