Southwest Garden

This was my own private cactus garden to enjoy when I stayed at the Indian Hill Bed & Breakfast in Tucson, Arizona. Paul and Doreen Hedger share their beautiful home on four acres of natural desert and make wonderful hosts. I've added a texture from Shadowhouse Creations.

The Towers of St. Augustine

While in Tucson, I walked past the St. Augustine Cathedral in the downtown area. This Spanish style mission church is similar in style to San Xavier del Bac and others in the area. The white of the towers was dazzling against the brilliant blue sky. I've added a stucco texture to accentuate the contrast.

Tucson Bright

This image started with a photo of the colorful stucco walls at La Placita Village in downtown Tucson, Arizona. I then added a texture by Distressed Jewel which enhanced the roughness of the stucco and added cracks to the pot.

Lizard on Petroglyph Rock

I spied this lizard while hiking in Sabino Canyon in Tucson. I also had the rare opportunity to photograph a roadrunner during the same hike, although we're not sure whether it was Big Mac, their resident roadrunner. In the foothills of the Santa Catalina Mountains, Sabino Canyon has many wonderful hiking trails with spectacular viewpoints.
